Arrival of the Prince

Not many things in life go exactly as you expect. My second son's arrival home was memorable for it's lack of ceremony. Not that it's anybody's fault but his. His extended hospital stay and the confusion regarding his release made it impossible for any type of public displays signifying his birth. Compounding that was the awful sickness that has completely wiped out my daughter for the last 3 days. So...the first 2 days at home have been bizarre.

Jack, who is being checked by a nurse 3 times a week for breathing difficulties, has been isolated in the bedroom with his mother in an attempt to keep them from being infected by this stomach bug from Hell. The result? Nobody can see him right now. His brother and sister who have been crazy about him before he was ever born can't see him. His daddy can't hold him, because I'm the one risking personal health to take care of Grace (a shell of her normal self...I swear I've never seen her this sick before) and Collins...who chose this week to be an ox and fight off all the germs. I'm taking him to school and picking him up,,and in between, I'm taking care of Grace and the house.

Kristin has been recovering from the C section and having to take care of Jack by herself.

This is all temporary. It's crazy for now though, and I'm getting further and further behind at work.

Prayer? Pray for Gracie's recovery and Jack's lungs and his need for restful sleep. Pray for Kristin to get over this week's trauma. Pray for me to have patience with Gracie and her uncontrollable diarrhea. Pray that Collins stays healthy.

Speaking of Collins, we regsiter him for Kindergarten tomorrow. What a miraculous change in him, praise be GOD!!

We thank GOD and Jesus, and we praise his name.
